The EFF has previously spoken out about drafts of the laws and the hazard of undermining Part 230, and activists are already organizing in opposition to the laws. Tech Freedom president Berin Szóka claimed in a response that “at the moment’s largely efficient system for policing CSAM (youngster intercourse abuse materials) will come crashing down in a single day — and people convicted of producing, disseminating and consuming CSAM may stroll free.”
A Judiciary Committee listening to on the invoice is already scheduled to happen on Wednesday, March 11th at 10 AM ET.
